Hiromi “Skeeter” Tsutsumi, 92, of Hilo died Aug. 23 at Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Facility. Born in Hilo, he was the retired vice-president and general manager at Parts Center Hawaii, member of the Hilo Interpreter’s Club, Fukuoka Kenjin Kai, Saturday Golf Club and a veteran of the Military Intelligence Service, U.S. Army during World War II. Edwin Carlisle Baughman, 87, of Kailua-Kona, died Sept. 1. Born in Virginia, he was a retired Hawaiian Electric Co. electrical engineer. Private services held. Clyde Gouveia, 66,of Captain Cook, died Sept. 4 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in North Kona, he was a retired police officer with the county of Honolulu, a member of the American Legion and a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. Edward “Ed” Pereira, 88, of Hilo, died Sept. 15 at Hilo Medical Center. Born n Hilo, he was proprietor of many apartments in Hilo, a Veteran in the U.S. Army Air Corps in World War II, and was a Civil Air Patrol captain.
